This is a photograph I took of the tower of Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.
I think of Joel Osteen who speaks of having a “Crown of Favour” if you believe in God. We are all children of God and as we follow the Holy Spirit, Allah, Jehovah, Buddha, Lord, Yahweh, Brahman, Universal Life Force or whatever God Force you may believe in with good intentions, many good things will happen to and for us.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Audiobook Review by Mary Mikawoz
Book and audiobook available: July 23, 2020
It has been a long time since I have listened to an audiobook as I usually read paper copies or digital books. I used to frequently and regularly listen to Compact Discs when I was driving to work and back. I had quite the trek and so I was trying to use my time more efficiently and effectively.
The book by Bob Goff is a faith-based book about Jesus and God. Although it is religious, it is spiritual in thought. It is about your relationship to God and how you manifest/transform it in real life.
Bob Goff has had an interesting life from being lawyer to an advocate for children’s safety and well-being. He tells an interesting story of trying to save a 11 year old girl from sex slavery twice in India and the consequences of his good intent.
He has lived an interesting life and seems to follow through on his own advice with getting his pilot’s license, a motorcycle license after he drove the bike across North America and also starting and rebuilding for the second time a lodge in Canada after it burnt down. He has a loving wife and family.
I think the advice he gives is a combination between common sense and prudent advice. This book is especially suited towards younger people especially those in their 20s and 30s who are starting out in life and struggling. It may even apply to 40s, 50s and beyond if people are facing mid-life challenges and are looking for inspiration.
I found it to be a thoughtful book with some very interesting stories told by Bob Goff.
I give this book a 4 out of 5 based on the information written in a friendly, non-judgemental way. Aside from the audio book, it is available as a digital book and paperback as well.

Portrait of Jesus
This is my drawing and digital artwork of a portrait of Jesus Christ. I have drawn it in honour of my father who died and transitioned to Heaven this day many years ago. I was raised in a Roman Catholic family and believe that my father is up in Heaven in a reunion with God. His spirit and soul are at peace.
I have drawn Jesus in a darker skin colour which more would represent what he looked like and with darker hair too. I have purposefully used a transition of colour from purple, pink to gold to indicate the ascension to Heaven via light. He is an ascended master.

Our Lady of Peace
I took this photograph of this quaint, little church of Our Lady of Peace in Bucerias, Mexiso. It is just north of Nuevo Vallarta and Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. We had walked to it from Nuevo Vallarta.
It is the most beautiful church in its simplicity, its round light windows up in the heavens and also the textured wood of the structure and pews.
I have put a mosaic tile on it to make it look like a tapestry or mosaic. According to Wikipedia, “Mosaics have a long history, starting in Mesopotamia in the 3rd millennium BC. Pebble mosaics were made in Tiryns in Mycenean Greece; mosaics with patterns and pictures became widespread in classical times, both in Ancient Greece and Ancient Rome.”

This is a photograph I took of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Inside, I saw a beautiful corona around the statue of Mary.
According to Wikipedia, “The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe, is known locally as La Iglesia de Nuestra Senora de Guadalupe. The Church of Our Lady of Guadalupe is a Catholic place of worship that is located in Puerto Vallarta on the Pacific Coast of Mexico.”
I like the magnificence of the church and also the way the clouds highlight and bring attention to the church itself.

This is a photo of the famous Catholic Church called Saints Paul and Peter Church in the North Beach area of San Francisco. You get the spires as a quick image as I passed along one of the famous bus tours around the city. I love the trolley lines finding them interesting how they intersect and work.
I remember being younger and enjoying the electrical buses that use to run up and down Corydon Avenue in Winnipeg. They often lost their footing on the cable as they came around the bend and so I would enjoy sitting there watching them putting the cable back on the line. I miss those electrical buses and meanwhile they were good for the environment but we replaced them in the name of technological advancement.

This abstract painting shows a “Sprouting Seed” but what it does, for me, is symbolize the birth or creation of the very first soul which is Adam as in the Bible. He is sprouting as if from a cocoon and as you can see he has wings like a butterfly that he is shedding as he arises from the bud or chrysalis form. He is ascending and with him comes something like an umbilical cord which represents his Higher Self or Spirit which, like in the painting, is always with Adam.
