Westminster Abbey – Photography by Mary Mikawoz – Click image to see the entire picture.
This is a photograph of the Westminster Abbey in London, England in the United Kingdom.
According to Wikipedia, “The Abbey is the burial site of more than 3,300 persons, usually of prominence in British history: at least 16 monarchs, 8 Prime Ministers, poets laureate, actors, scientists, military leaders, and the Unknown Warrior. As such, Westminster Abbey is sometimes described as “Britain’sValhalla”, after the iconic hall of the chosen heroes in Norse mythology”
With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

This is a photograph I took of a tiger walking on by. He is amazing as all tigers and mammalian animals are.
I have put in an effect to highlight the tiger’s stripes as they glow with beauty. I like the multi-coloured effect to showcase its magnificence and its utter perfection. I hope you like it.

Fall Equinox – Photograph by Mary Mikawoz Click image or link to see entire panoramic view of photograph
Fall Equinox
This is a panoramic photograph I took this morning at the shoreline of Lake Winnipeg at Little Deer at 8:30 am when it was the right time for the change of seasons Central Standards Time (CST) for this area. This is approximately 2 hours north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada.
I love the beautiful golden hue and tone of the sun with its juxtaposition against the blue of the water and sky.
I like how your eye leads you into the water of the photo with the trees framing the image nicely. It also invites you in and makes you want to go swimming but it is getting too cold for that already.

I took this on one of my hikes and found beauty in the decaying of trees in the forest. From the old and death, comes rejuvenation and regrowth. It is a positive way of looking at life as we all have seasons that come and go as winter is to spring as to summer and to autumn.
I like the various states the wood is in and also the way the flowers have come to fruition amongst the rotten state of affairs.

I was able to get close to this tiger through the benefit of a glass partition. He was just relaxing and enjoying life. He is absolutely majestic and gorgeous. He has such golden eyes so that is what I have called this photograph.

From years of spiritual pursuit and personal reflection, I have come up with these 5 insights.
These are “Insights” by Mary Mikawoz
“Anger is about unmet expectations.”
“Depression is anger turned inwards.”
“Anxiety is worrying about the future.”
“We all need goals – mini steps in life.”
“Live in the present – that is all we have.”
This is my interpretation of life and death. While there is life, there is frivolity and fun. There is growth and lessons learned. In death, there is the shucking of the physical body and the soul returns to the ethers.

These are wild horses in the deserts of Arizona near Mesa. They are absolutely beautiful amongst the natural vegetation of the area. I like the way two of them are resting while one is standing tall and proud.

These green grapes were growing under a canopy of wood trellises. This photograph is in memory of my Dad and his ability to grow any plants, indoors and outdoors. He had a trellis in our back yard that grew wonderful grapes. The great thing about grapes other than raisins is that they also produce wine.
