My My My

My My My – Photography by Mary Mikawoz

My, My, My – What do we have here? This is a deer who is checking me out as I check them out.

He/she is peaking his/her head out of the foliage while I try to move in for a close-up. God’s fauna are incredible. They are so elegant and classic. I think animals and wildlife need to be treated better by humanity.

I can only think of all the animals who were killed during the fires in BC this summer and then the flooding that followed soon afterwards. My heart goes out to all of God’s creatures.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Read Description & Click Link For More!

This is a Mixed Media creation of imagery including a Tiger, Whirlpool Galaxy and Cyclones on Earth. Together they form an incredible imagery of the magnificence of the world including the majestic tiger.

Personally, I love the combination of imagery as it is magnificent, balanced and takes you to another world of perception.

Tiger photograph was taken by me at the Phoenix Zoo in Arizona, USA.

Whirlpool Galaxy from NASA image – “The image from NASA Hubble Telescope shows spiral arms and dust clouds in the nearby Whirlpool galaxy. Visible starlight and light from the emission of glowing hydrogen is seen, which is associated with the most luminous young stars in the spiral arms.”

Planet Earth was also taken by NASA.

Hope you like the creation.

Blue Moon

Blue Moon

It was not only Halloween but the second full moon of the month yesterday. It was glowing brightly in and out of the clouds as they passed by. I did not have my tripod with me so I was trying to be steady with my own ability to hold a pose with my camera. It was very cold outside as we have had snow here already in Manitoba.

With the sky behind it, it indeed looks blue. I like the way the moon is visible beside the trees on either side.

Happy All Saints Day!

Panthera Tigris

Mikawoz Panthera Tigris

Panthera Tigris

Panthera Tigris is the latin name or scientific name of a tiger. He is majestic in every way especially in this profile image. I have rendered this photograph that I took as an artistic image with colours and also lighting effects.

Please share amongst your family and friends. Thanks so much!

Back and Forth

Mikawoz Back and Forth

Back And Forth

These flowers are both looking forwards and backwards at the same time. I find it unusual that they are not all facing the same direction as they would towards the sunshine but they were indoors so I guess that is why they are growing towards different light sources.

I do not know what type of flowers they are but they are pretty. Perhaps, someone could enlighten me?

Bear Head

Bear Head

This is a close-up of a polar bear head. I love the way his eyes are barely open and his tongue is just visible. “The polar bear (Ursus maritimus) is a hypercarnivorous bear whose native range lies largely within the Arctic Circle, encompassing the Arctic Ocean, its surrounding seas and surrounding land masses.” Wikipedia.

Reposing Tiger

This tiger is reposing – enjoying his time in his loft at the zoo. I believe he is an Amur tiger from the Russian Far East. He looks deep in thought. The picture is nicely framed by some trees.

Sleeping Cheetah

Here is a close-up of a sleeping cheetah. Isn’t he marvellous? He looks so serene and peaceful. Doesn’t he remind you of a domestic cat the way he sleeps?

Lush Green Forest

Isn’t there something so magical about being in a beautiful forest?  There is such quiet and solitude, such incredible beauty.  I took this photo because of the lush green moss on the trees that enhance the brown bark and fallen leaves.  I look at the photograph and dream of hiking through such beauty.
