This is a photo of the Chicago Skyline taken from the south area of the Field Museum, the Adler Museum and the Shedd Aquarium. The big black building is the Willis Tower (originally the Sears Tower) which is the tallest building in the city at 442 metres or 1451 feet. It has 110 floors and opened in 1973 – celebrating 50 years this year. According to Wikipedia, “It is the third-tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, as well as the 23rd-tallest in the world.”

As for my creative work, I love beauty in all its forms. With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and feel as if I am “in the flow.” With my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time. I feel as if I am zinged when I capture that special shot and it is meant to be.

I absolutely loved taking these photographs of autumn. We were beside the lakeshore on Lake Winnipeg lying on our backs watching the leaves fall down. The colours in the trees were beautiful and the skyline had streaks of clouds in it. It was breathtaking and a very special series of moments. 

It was taken in Little Deer which is between Beaver Creek and Pine Dock on the west shore of Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba.
