Setting all political views aside, I happen to like the buildings of downtown Chicago including the Trump Tower which is on the left and the Wrigley Building which is in the centre. I took the photograph from an angle that I found as intriguing and interesting. I really do like Chicago and the beautiful architecture it offers.

According to the Trumphotels website – “Soaring 92 stories above the Loop and North Michigan Avenue, Trump International Hotel & Tower® Chicago rises above other luxury hotels in Chicago. Trump Chicago is a showcase of bold style and engaging design situated along the Chicago River, resulting in incredible views of Navy Pier and its weekly seasonal fireworks show.”

According to Wikipedia, “When ground was broken for the Wrigley Building in 1920, there were no major office buildings north of the Chicago River. The Michigan Avenue Bridge, which spans the river just south of the building, was still under construction. The land was selected by chewing gum magnate William Wrigley Jr. for the headquarters of his company.”

As for my creative work, I love beauty in all its forms. With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and feel as if I am “in the flow.” With my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time. I feel as if I am zinged when I capture that special shot and it is meant to be.

This is a photo of the Chicago Skyline taken from the south area of the Field Museum, the Adler Museum and the Shedd Aquarium. The big black building is the Willis Tower (originally the Sears Tower) which is the tallest building in the city at 442 metres or 1451 feet. It has 110 floors and opened in 1973 – celebrating 50 years this year. According to Wikipedia, “It is the third-tallest building in the Western Hemisphere, as well as the 23rd-tallest in the world.”

As for my creative work, I love beauty in all its forms. I have been to Toronto to see and be on the CN Tower numerous times especially when I lived out in Eastern Canada. 

According to Wikipedia, “The CN Tower (French: Tour CN) is a 553.3 meters high or (1,815.3 feet high) concrete communications and observation tower located in Downtown Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Built on the former Railway Lands, it was completed in 1976. Its name “CN” originally referred to Canadian National, the railway company that built the tower. Following the railway’s decision to divest non-core freight railway assets prior to the company’s privatization in 1995, it transferred the tower to the Canada Lands Company, a federal Crown corporation responsible for real estate development.” 

I have added a coloured effect to make the structure more interesting and seen from a different perspective.
