Peak of Perfection – Photography by Mary Mikawoz
I think this is a picture I want to call “Peak of Perfection.” The mountain is sitting just right. Green trees are growing up as far as they can up the sides. The water is reflecting the green trees.
Even though it was summer time, there were wisps of snow in the cracks and crevices. There are glaciers that are centuries or millennia old.
It is inviting and makes you want to say, “Yes, I am going to scale this mountain today!” Let this be a personal saying for yourself this day and every day. I can achieve anything I put my mind to. It is my goal nowadays!
With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Wind Swept – Photography by Mary Mikawoz
The breeze was blowing across the waters near Grand Beach, Manitoba. It is part of the Lake Winnipeg system. I took this photo midway between West Beach and East Beach in the Lagoon.
I can still hear the wind whipping by and remember the plants swaying to the moving air flow. You can see the ripples of the water behind.
With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Take-Off
This is an photographic image near Vancouver, British Columbia as we take off from its Airport at Richmond, BC or better known as YVR. You can see the coastal mountain ranges and the waters of the Pacific Ocean as Richmond is actually a series of islands nestled together in the mouth of the Fraser River. On the right hand side, you can see a wee, little freighter out in the water from that level. We were ascending into the sky onwards and upwards after a good visit on the West Coast.
I had enjoyed our stay there and will miss my previous province of residence. I will miss British California, as we affectionately call it.
According to Wikipedia, “Vancouver International Airport is an international airport in Richmond, British Columbia. It is located 12 km from Downtown Vancouver. It is the second busiest airport in Canada by aircraft movements and passengers, behind Toronto Pearson International Airport.”

Green Waters
Here is an image of a beautiful Lake Louise in Alberta Canada. It has gorgeous green waters. The tree is framing the photo along with the rocks and mountains and glacier in the back.

Morphology
This is an Abstract Acrylic painting of mine that represents “Morphing.” If I look at it from a Buddhist point of view, it represents the idea of suffering with The Four Noble Truths and how it may be dealt with, in terms of the Eightfold Noble Paths. If I look at it from a point of view of Hinduism it reminds me of Maya and how it may represent destruction as a necessary component of creation and an ever continuing change or re-creation. From a Christian point of view, it reminds me of the Seven Deadly Sins: Lust, Gluttony, Greed, Sloth, Wrath, Envy and Pride. From a Nature and Earth perspective, it reminds me of the forces of nature everything from a raging forest fire, to a tornado, to a hurricane, to a tsunami, to flood waters to a blizzard forming in a winter’s storm and all powerful forces in between. From an Imaginary or Fantasy point of view, it can be visualized as a Sea Monster streaming through mighty white waters or an evil Dragon flying through the aethers. I hope you enjoy the painting and find positive meaning in it. To me, the filaments of green represent the beginnings of “forgiveness” and potential change in all respects and meanings.
