Oozing Pain

Oozing Pain

This photograph is for those people who have suffered abuse, neglect or trauma. It is for all those who have been in personal pain for their problems and issues. It is a close-up picture I took of a cactus. I have added an effect so that the cuts in the cactus represents the blood cuts of the body or soul which is oozing pain.

The only way the person can protect him/herself is by growing sharp needles or jagged spikes. That is the way some people deal with emotional, physical, sexual, mental or spiritual trauma. I wish everyone the ability to deal with their problems and issues as best they can when appropriate and when capable and able to do so. This is my desire, wish and prayer for all of us growing to the next level. If we ask for help from the Angels, Archangels and God or whatever you consider your Higher Power, we can find help.

Spikes

Spikes

I took this photograph while hiking in and around Mesa, Arizona. The cactus is full of spikes and prickly thorns. Although it is full of spikes, there is beauty in this nature too.

According to Wikipedia, “In plant morphology, thorns, spines, and prickles, and in general spinose structures, are hard, rigid extensions or modifications of leaves, roots, stems or buds with sharp, stiff ends, and generally serve the same function: physically deterring animals from eating the plant material.”

Here are some wonderful cacti that have little baby cacti growing around and through the cactus.

Wikipedia indicates “Botanically, “spines” are distinguished from “thorns”: spines are modified leaves, and thorns are modified branches. Cacti produce spines…”
