You can not have a beautiful valley without having grandiose mountains. This scenery is absolutely gorgeous to behold. I took this photograph mid-summer and yet there is still snow up in the hills. I like the features of the mountain top with the jagged peaks and textures.
I like the flow of the valley with all the trees and then the blue sky with pretty little clouds in it. Nature is perfect as it is God’s creation and spectacular.

This photograph was taken on top of the ride on the Lake Louise Gondola ride. It showcases the emerald green lake of Lake Louise and behind her, the great Victoria Glacier.
According to Wikipedia, “Lake Louise is named after the Princess Louise Caroline Alberta (1848–1939), the fourth daughter of Queen Victoria and the wife of the Marquess of Lorne, who was the Governor General of Canada from 1878 to 1883.”
Also, “The turquoise colour of the water comes from rock flour carried into the lake by melt-water from the glaciers that overlook the lake,”

My husband and I have been to the Columbia Icefield many times through the years. The first time was back in 1984 and it has receded a lot since the original time. Back then, we were using film cameras. This is image, however, is more recent. I got off the bus tour that goes up and took an image looking far back towards the height and start of the glacier.
According to Wikipedia, “The Athabasca Glacier is one of the six principal ‘toes’ of the Columbia Icefield, located in the Canadian Rockies. The glacier currently loses depth at a rate of about 5 metres per year and has receded more than 1.5 km and lost over half of its volume in the past 125 years.”

This is an incredible view of the ridge lines found in the Grand Canyon in Arizona, USA. I love the flow of the rock. I like the difference in the red and green hues. There is a path down below.
Here is a photograph from a helicopter ride over the Grand Canyon, Arizona. It was spectacular. It was my first helicopter ride and what better way than across the gorge in all its glory. It has layers of red rock from many geological time periods.
This is a gorge at the Grand Canyon National Park. President Theodore Roosevelt was a proponent of the preservation of the canyon. The canyon is a 277 miles long and places 18 miles wide with a depth of over a mile. It is beautiful in its majesty. It has sheer cliffs and is spectacular.
