Amiens Bridge

In the quaint city of Amiens, there is a location near the Somme River which is home to a number of outdoor patios and restaurants in Northern France. We had a wonderful 3 to 5 course meal with accompanying beverages over a period of 2 to 3 hours. The French know how to “Dine.” I took this photograph of one of the bridges. I really like the way they turn a brick bridge into something beautiful with flowers on the sides. Can you see the swan in the water near the center of the photo?

Structural Integrity

These architectural structures are above the pedestrian walkway on Stephen Avenue in Calgary.

According to a Downtown Calgary website, “Stephen Avenue Walk is a beautiful outdoor pedestrian walkway in the heart of downtown Calgary from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, 7 days per week. It’s steeped in heritage, and lined with fabulous restaurants and retail shops.”

Sausalito Shoreline

I think one of the coolest things about Sausalito, California is that it is only 13 feet above sea level.  Can’t do much better than that.  The population of this quaint little city with colourful buildings is only about 7000 people and is located at the northern end of the Golden Gate Bridge.  I found the restaurants in the area to be spectacular with great seafood, of course.
