I took this photograph en route from Winnipeg through Teulon to Arborg, Manitoba, Canada. These towns are found in the Interlake area between Lake Winnipeg and Lake Manitoba.
According to Wikipedia, “Hay is grass, legumes, or other herbaceous plants that have been cut and dried to be stored for use as animal fodder, particularly for large grazing animals raised as livestock, such as cattle, horses, goats, and sheep.”
I like the composition of the two bales of hay in relations to each other. I have made the image a combination of purple and gold colours.

These are beautiful flowers found in the Japanese Gardens in Kelowna, British Columbia. According to the City of Kelowna website, “The garden was completed in 1987 to demonstrate the friendship and union between Kelowna and its sister city in Kasugai, Japan. The park integrates traditional elements notable in Japanese gardens, such as stone lanterns, pine trees, waterfalls and a pond stocked with Koi. It is a beautiful integration of stone, pathways, plants and water.”

This is my abstract interpretation of trois oeufs or three eggs. Originally, the picture was drawn with pen and then added to with India Ink. I then added colour to it. Symbolically, eggs represent many things to many cultures including birth and fertility. I like the potential that eggs represent and the ability to grow into something bigger and better.

I love nature in all its forms. I like the wild grass that you particularly find in the prairies. This has a dandelion in the foreground and wild grass in the background. I have added some textures and filters to make it more interesting.

Purple is amongst the highest chakra. Purple or violet chakra is the top chakra found on the top of the head which means connection to the Universe and spiritual consciousness.
I have taken a photograph that I took at the Bloedel Conservatory and made it black and white. I selected the colour purple to be the distinguishing element in the image.

These oak trees are the most perfect element in the beautiful autumn sky behind them. This photograph was taken at Assiniboine Park near the previous Conservatory in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. The seasons continue to change and with it comes renewed hope as we enter Spring.

This an abstract drawing where there is both Yin and Yang in everything – feminine and masculine energies. From this seedling comes much energy and growth.
