When I see peonies, I think of my mother. There is an old coloured photograph of my mother in a pink, silky organza layered type of dress. She looks absolutely stunning and so beautiful. Along with her, were her children, us kids, playing beside her and she is kneeling near the fence where there are beautiful, pink peonies framing her body. 

I love this image that I took in my own garden because it highlights the pink peony and is surrounded by bright, yellow flowers and green leaves which to me, is like my mother along with her children. She is the “Beauty of My Eye.” 

Now that I think of it, I wonder if my father created that stunning dress for my mother as he was a custom tailor and made beautifully tailored clothes for all of us. Good memories.
