Last year, we were out for a nice supper along the Malecon in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. There was a fantastic extended Mexican family enjoying the Spanish music produced by the Mariachi band they had hired. Amongst all the frivolity, I was enjoying the moon being at a different angle than further up in the northern part of the continent and the vibrant colours of the umbrellas at each table.

I have created an artistic effect so that it is almost like a painting. I love the colours showcasing red, yellow, orange, blue and green. I have put in tiles to make it a wonderful puzzle effect.

As for me, I love beauty in all its forms. With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and feel as if I am “in the flow.” With my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time. I feel as if I am zinged when I capture that special shot and it is meant to be.

This is a panoramic scene of Lake Winnipeg just as freeze up is starting to happen. Even though Lake Winnipeg is the 10^th largest freshwater lake in the world, it gets so cold here that semi-trucks can drive on the ice roads. People go ice fishing as a sport and enjoyment all winter long, when safe to do so.

The sky was particularly playful this day at this time. “It was dancing and swaying to the music.” It is just like Johnny Rivers was singing to the clouds in the sky.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Birthday

This is an abstract drawing I did up in ink. It represents my birthday today. I see a heart in it which represents love. I see lungs which represents the breath of life or chi or prana and energy. I have candles or lights to represent happiness, joy and celebration of life. There is flow and design to the art piece. I usually create to the sound of music playing while I free flow my creative work to the inspirational music.

Journey’s End

This started off as a drawing with coloured gel pens while listening to music to inspire me. I input it into the computer and did some designs to it and also painted some more digitally.

I was not thinking of the end of the Earth but the change of a journey from one to another.

Pacific Jellyfish

Pacific Jellyfish

This is a photo of Pacific Sea Nettle Jellyfish.  They have been roaming the seas for anywhere from 500 to 700 million years.  They move elegantly with their gelatinous umbrella-shaped bell bodies and flowing tentacles.  They dance as if to music and I was quite mesmerized by them.  They range in size from 1 millimeter to 2 meters in size for their bodies.  Their nerve net system is in their epidermis.  Some jellyfish are light-sensitive through something called ocelli while some jellyfish have up to 24 eyes, 2 of which can see colour.  As you can see, there is quite a range.  They also have a life-cycle going from polyps to the medusa stage.
