It is so rare to see foxes, let alone one as beautiful as this one. He/she was just moseying down the road near the forests. He/she was not scared of us at all. I think he/she is absolutely stunning.

Did you know they have excellent hearing and can hear rodents digging miles underground? Did you know their front paws have five toes while their back paws have four toes? Did you know their tail is over half its body length? Did you know they would make excellent triathletes? According to Jackson Wild, “Red foxes can run up to 31 mph, jump over 6 ft high fences, and they can even swim.”

I hope you enjoy the photo. I so love to take pictures of animals and particularly mammals.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Wild West

Mikawoz Wild West

Wild West

Here is an image of free range buffalo or bison in the Wild West of Canada. They are roaming freely across the grassy foothills of the mountains. It is part of the Bison Paddock Road in Waterton Lakes National Park. I like the way the scenery is composed by nature.

My Two Bears

Mikawoz My Two Bears

My Two Bears

These really aren’t my two bears but I think they are adorable and cute even though they are dangerous and wild. I took the photograph near Waterton Lakes National Park in Alberta, Canada.

According to Wikipedia, “The brown bear (Ursus arctos) is a bear species found across Eurasia and North America. In North America, the populations of brown bears are called grizzly bears. It is one of the largest living terrestrial members of the order Carnivora, rivalled in size only by its closest relative, the polar bear (Ursus maritimus), which is much less variable in size and slightly bigger on average.”

Two Brown Cows

These are two beautiful brown cows in the pasture. I took this photo in the Interlake Area of Manitoba where there is very good land for agriculture around Teulon, Arborg and Riverton.

Wild Horses

Wild Horses

These are wild horses in the deserts of Arizona near Mesa. They are absolutely beautiful amongst the natural vegetation of the area. I like the way two of them are resting while one is standing tall and proud.
