Love this word “Memory.” Actually, for most it can be a combination of good memories or bad ones.
I tend to have changed my orientation lately in life. I choose to remember only the good memories. It brings me much joy and happiness to know I have had a good life overall.
I have definitely had bad memories, for sure, but now I choose to forgive those people who have done me wrong. It does not make the event acceptable but quite the opposite. I am seeing them as fallible or imperfect people. Most times people are doing their best under their current circumstances, experiences and knowledge.
This is not to accept what is evil or bad. I am not condoning abuse or violence or hate of any kind. I feel those people who have been hurt go around hurting others. It is like they can’t accept what has happened to them so they need to share their misery with other people. I am sorry that some people feel this way and that they act in a negative pattern of continuing to hurt others.
I don’t see the need to carry the past into the present moment. If you can do something about it that is legal and will help your state of mind, then do so. There are rules, regulations and laws exactly to deal with perpetrators. People need to know there are repercussions for their actions

It is like what Maya Angelou has so famously written: “Do the best you can until you know better. Then, when you know better, do better.” These are such wise words of insight into the human character and the development of our spirit.
It does harm to treat people with disrespect and often times, it will boomerang back at you in the same way or intensity. What you give out is what you receive.
As the Bible say in Galatians 6:7 in the King James Version -”Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.” Essentially speaking. “What you sow, you will reap.”
It makes sense that if you sow the seeds of goodness, that is what you will harvest then. It is your choice in every moment to decide how to think, feel and act. I wish you well in letting go of the past and remembering the good memories or moments of your life!

Don’t you feel like you are a passenger on a boat out in the ocean? There all sorts of boats, big one and small ones. There are fancy, dancy ones and ones barely staying afloat. They come in various colours and styles. The varieties are endless as are the multiplicity of quarks in the Universe.
There are calm days when it is smooth sailing and other days when they are rough and you wish you had not gone out there at all. Most of the time it is a good combination of flow – steady waves that rock you into the submission of life where you forget that you have a purpose in being there in the first place.
We all have a destination or somewhere we are going or need to go. We have an end goal or life purpose of being a passenger on this boat called “life.”
Sometimes, we get lulled into just the movement of the boat as time moves itself along the currents. One day follows the next but does it really? After all, time is an illusion and although we can have past experiences they may or may not impact our present circumstances, that storm you weathered the other day is over and gone and has moved on, so why don’t you do the same thing?
You are in a new space and a new part of the ocean. The future never really does come because you are in the ever-present presence. If we do make the effort, we can prepare for the “future” by doing the tasks we need to accomplish in preparation for the next moment or the ever present now.
It sometimes seems like we have little to no control. It sometimes seems that the ocean is God or the Universe and that he is controlling the whole scenario. The way I look at it, he is doing just that to a large extent but we are thrown into experiences to figure things out. We are then given the choice as to how we will deal with our next challenge or decision. That, then, is all about free will and free choice.
Enjoy your boat ride in the ocean of life! Let’s hope you enjoy the journey before the huge wave comes out and knocks your boat out of the water.
Book: “Trust Your Vibes (Revised Edition): Live an Extraordinary Life by Using Your Intuitive Intelligence,” Sonia Choquette, Hay House, 2022
Audio Book Review by Mary Mikawoz
I had listened to the original audio book called “Trust Your Vibes” a number of years ago. I am lucky to say that Sonia Choquette has rewritten this 20 year old book so that it is a newer version with updated information and experiences.
I was impressed with the first book and yet this one somehow tops even that one. I am not able to remember how many chapters the first book one had but this one has 34 chapters which are basically useable tips and techniques to increase you Intuitive Powers.
Overall, I am really impressed with this book and give it a 5 out 5. I highly recommend that you take appropriate actions and try to incorporate the practices into your daily life. Even if you only learn a few of them, you will be like the Chicago Businesswoman who was selected as the “Business Person of the Year” where she shared that her secret to success was using her Intuitive Intelligence.
In fact, I liked the book so much, I might listen to it another few times to glean more information and insights.

This is an extremely old elm tree. It has so much substance of life. It has been through a lot in life history as evidenced by its nodule where once a tree branch was part of this magnificent tree. I love the nodule for it is intrinsic in design and yet it has movement, flow and texture. The photo was taken at Assiniboine Park in Winnipeg, Manitoba. Canada.

I drew some symbiotic lines. I was letting my pen flow on the surface of the paper. I took the image and scanned it into my computer. I felt I needed something vibrant in colour. I wanted the image of the cocoon to be the centrepiece.
When I see a cocoon, I think of transformation from a beginning through to the next stage of life. I think of a beautiful butterfly coming out to great the world after it has morphed from one stage of development to another. May we all continue to grow as human beings in a similar fashion as we learn and alter out environment for our own betterment and evolution.

There is something elegant and beautiful about flowers no matter what stage of life they are at. These flowers were newly picked and together the triad forms a beautiful composition.
I love the contrast of the pink and red hues of the flowers agains the brown contrast of the table underneath. In my mind, they are just perfectly integrated.

There is something to be said about seeing the potential in something or someone. There are the ingredients of greatness in everyone but we need to tease it out bit by bit.
Most people give up too easily and look the other way without seeing what can actually come to be if only effort is applied. Keep going, it is a just a matter of time before greatness and ease come into your life. There is always a glimmer of hope even if you think it is not worth it.

This is very impactful – affected my soul on a deep level. It is more profound in less than 5 minutes than an entire 3 hour Hollywood blockbuster.
It is called “The Life of Death” by Marsha Onderstijn.
It was so heart-breaking but beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. Thanks to Marsha Onderstijn for being inspired to create it and Ramon de Wilde for the music.
I did definitely take this photograph but I can not take credit for the original craftsmanship or integral beauty and perfection of this marble statue. I found it in the Musée d’Orsay which is found in Paris, France.
It is exquisite in its detail but I wanted to add some effects to it and so I did. It is so well put together that it looks as if a real male in the nude is sitting there. It is called “Despair” or “Le Désespoir” and was created in 1869 by Jean-Joseph Perraud. Someone could look at this and think this is a picture for the year of 2020 but I do not see “Despair,” but see a man reposing and reflecting upon life that this year has offered us and now hoping for a better future that 2021 and onwards will bring forward for humankind.
According to Wikipedia, “The Musée d’Orsay is a museum in Paris, France, on the Left Bank of the Seine. It is housed in the former Gare d’Orsay, a Beaux-Arts railway station built between 1898 and 1900. The museum holds mainly French art dating from 1848 to 1914, including paintings, sculptures, furniture, and photography.”

I like the bins that line the prairie landscape. It is reminiscent of the storing and packaging up of important goods that have taken time and space to harvest or reap. It has taken a lot of effort on the farmers’ part to seed and help grow the crops. I am thankful to the farmers for all their hard work because without them, life would be so much harder.
I took this picture near Île-des-Chênes, Manitoba which is south of the City of Winnipeg. The town is an unincorporated community in the Rural Municipality of Richot. According to its website, “This francophone town was settled in the mid-nineteenth century in an area prolific with oak trees, and that’s where the town got its name, which translates to Oak Island.”
