Equine Relaxation – Photography by Mary Mikawoz
This is a photograph of beautiful horses which was taken in the middle of winter in the Interlake area of Manitoba, Canada. Straw is usually bedding for lying on and hay is for feeding on so I am not sure what these horses are doing as they seem to be doing both. Perhaps, it is just grass. I hope you like my farm picture.
It has been awhile since my year of posting an image each day which was very stressful but I did it! It is time to continue as I can not keep myself from creating and capturing Divine Moments in Time!

Wild Horses
These are wild horses in the deserts of Arizona near Mesa. They are absolutely beautiful amongst the natural vegetation of the area. I like the way two of them are resting while one is standing tall and proud.

Hay Field
This is a beautiful hay field just north of Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. I believe it is north of Gimli and Riverton on the way to Pinedock and Matheson Island.
“Hay is grass, legumes, or other herbaceous plants that have been cut and dried to be stored for use as animal fodder, particularly for large grazing animals raised as livestock, such as cattle, horses, goats, and sheep.” This is according to Wikipedia.
Unfortunately, hay is not grown as much now. The stalks of plant life has been modified so as to not be as long as they once were either.

Broken Rims
This is a black and white photo of old broken rims. They may even be off of the famous Red River Carts. Red River Carts or charettes in French, were used during the fur trade in the Red River area. One of the first carts was used in Pembina, North Dakota and expanded from there. They were mainly pulled by oxen but also horses and mules. The cart was so buoyant that it could float over streams yet strong enough to carry 1000 pounds. One reason that the famous roads Portage Avenue and Main Street in Winnipeg, Manitoba are so large is because these Red River Carts were wide and so the streets today are wide and open compared to most other downtown areas around the world.

I was driving by in the late winter/early spring time when I saw this farm with a lone saddle hanging out on the fence. I thought it was neat of the horse rider to have done this but even more so when I realized he/she had nailed their cowboy/cowgirl boots to posts as well.
Yes, I know I am posting it at the wrong time of the season; however, doesn’t it make you appreciate the hot summer weather we are having?
Sorry – could not update a small image as the WordPress system would not accept the jpeg image.

I love “The Love” between these two animals. They are gorgeous and magnificent horses. They are Splendid in form. I will assume they are twins and so therefore twin souls. I have other cute images of the horses being close and loving to one another. First the one shows affection, then the other shows affection and sometimes, it is as if they embrace or show love at the same time to each other.

These are gorgeous blonde horses in front of their home beside a brilliant red barn. I am not sure how they are related whether two brothers, two sisters, brother and sister, mother and son or daughter, or father and daughter and son. Maybe they are twins or are they just friends sharing a farm together. Whatever the familiy relationship, they are just gorgeous horse specimens.
