Yup, you see me. I am the window looking outwards or perhaps, you are looking inside of me. I am surrounded by ivy growing all around me. To the North, South, East and West of my centre, are wonderful plants growing up the brick walls.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

Now this is a photograph of powerful determination if I did see one. The green plant is thriving and continuing upwards and around to grow. Nothing is in its path is getting in its way as it weaves and turns to make a new route around windows, balconies and corners.

Up, up, up the walls of the building, the ivy grows in dogged persistence of its goal of surviving and in a state of being extant. We, as human beings, are often the same as we pursue our goals in life.

The ivy clings to life on the walls but it is smart enough to use tools and techniques at its disposal to grow.

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.

I took this photograph in British Columbia. I love this picture because in the background, you will find beautiful and sparkling white elements of a water fall and at the forefront, you will find some beautiful white and yellow centred flowers. They seem to be daisies having chosen a most picturesque spot in nature to grow and develop in. May we all find suitable locales and environments with which to find, grow and prosper wherever we call home in the whole wide world of Earth which revolves around as a segment of the Universe.

Working It Out

There is something beautiful about architecture and the way a building needs a solid foundation in order to grow onwards and upwards. I have called this photograph “Working It Out” because you start your problems from the base and only then can look upwards.

This is by the bridges of Tempe, near Phoenix, Arizona, USA at sunset. There is a river in the foreground.
