I took this photograph because I liked the composition of the farm house, the grain bin and the hay bale. I have created a digital artwork like a painting from it using the colours present in the picture. It is taking the best of black and white while highlighting it with colours as well. 

It seems like there are dark clouds in the background while sunlight still shines on the foreground. I feel there is a beauty despite it being a gloomy and sulky image. Where there is darkness, there is also a glimmer of hope. 

It was taken in the Interlake area of Manitoba.

Old Water Pump

On a dark, gloomy day I came across an old water pump beside an old relic of a building. It is still there despite having been abandoned a long time ago. I found it while driving in the Interlake Region of Manitoba, Canada.
