I took this photograph one cool fall night many moons ago in Assiniboine Park. The sun was setting in the west and the sky turned a multitude of magnificent colours including pink, blue, purple, red, orange, and yellow. It is a veritable rainbow of colours. The trees are dark silhouetted and seem to be dramatic or mysterious in their own way.
I love the branches of the trees as they extend towards the sky yearning for more attention from the sun and their impending growth. They cry out to the sun, “Please give us more. We need you.”
Throughout the seasons, they get what they need and now as we approach winter time, we go dormant and fall asleep for awhile in plant-life hibernation.

I took this image of Peyto Lake after hiking up the trail to the top view and to appreciate this incredibly beautiful azure colour of the water. I like the way there is snow up in the mountains and the sky is so dramatic looking.
The hike is 3.8 miles round trip but it is totally worth it. The lake is found 40 kilometers or 25 miles north of Lake Louise on the Icefields Highway. Currently, Peyto Lake is closed to visitors until November 2020. It has been open to visitors since 1941 but right now, it is undergoing renovations by the Canadian government in the amount of 2.9 million dollars.
According to Wikipedia, “Peyto Lake is a glacier-fed lake in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rockies…It was named for Bill Peyto, an early trail guide and trapper in the Banff area.”

Time for Rain
I took this photograph on the western shores of Lake Winnipeg. In it, you can see a dramatic sky and the coming rain. The water is currently calm but in the near distance are the rain clouds coming forth. I feel as if the sky was painted by God’s brush as it has texture and flow.

Here is a photograph I took of an abandoned old farm house out on the range. It is dramatic with the clouds in the West. It is as if it is brooding with emotion. I also enjoy the perspective of the house in the photograph as a whole.

It is all about perspective. From below, you can see the huge rock, the incredibly gorgeous trees changing colour and starting to fall to the Earth beside the lakeshore. The clouds in the sky are dramatic.

This cactus is quite old and has become home to many birds as evidenced by all the holes in it. The dramatic streaks in the sky are beautiful too. This was taken in the deserts near Mesa, Arizona, USA.
According to Wikipedia, “The saguaro is a tree-like cactus species in the monotypic genus Carnegiea, which can grow to be over 40 feet tall…The saguaro blossom is the state wildflower of Arizona.”

Old Sarum dates back to 3000 BC. It is one of the earliest settlements in the Salisbury area of England. I took photos of the ruins and enjoyed the flow of the old rock of the structures and the flow of the green hills as contrast. The steeple of the new Salisbury church and community is seen in the distance.
