My Hillside
I call this “My Hillside” because when I think of something in between a meadow and a mountain, I think of hills.
For me this is kind of my stage between resting in a beautiful flowered meadow and very tall mountain I have to climb. I feel as if I am in the in between status of resting and going for the big goal. I am not quite resting but am acclimating to increasing my energies and heading up the trek of another mountain.
There is rich earth from the tones of brown hues and beautiful luscious green for grass and crops to grow. Even though the blue could be water, it is beginnings and growth of a developing mountain.
This was once a drawing I drew with coloured pens and I expanded upon it in the computer. I have added a beautiful sunrise because it is the dawning of a new day or a new chapter in my book of life. After having met my goal of posting one image a day for every day of last year, I have taken a little break and am now ready to proceed with new ambitions.

Two Tiny Turtles
These two turtles are not the smallest I have ever seen. They were actually approximately 6 to 9 inches in length but relative to tortoises, they are tiny. They were climbing all over each other. I have made this image into black and white because I like seeing the textures and designs of the turtle shells. I also like the way the light plays in the picture. I took this image in Mexico.
According to Wikipedia, “Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines. They are characterized by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs that acts as a shield. “Turtle” may refer to the order as a whole or to fresh-water and sea-dwelling Testudines. Testudines includes both extant and extinct species.”

Upward Growth
I love the way the ivy is crawling and creeping up this tree. I love the way it has tendrils that move up at its own pace. It is growing upwards and onwards to heaven above and the sun and the sky.
According to Wikipedia, “On level ground they remain creeping, not exceeding 5–20 cm height, but on suitable surfaces for climbing, including trees, natural rock outcrops or man-made structures such as quarry rock faces or built masonry and wooden structures, they can climb to at least 30 m above the ground.”
