Freedom Eagles

Mikawoz Freedom Eagles

Freedom Eagles

I took the photo of the Bald Eagle near Teulon, Manitoba. Some say, it looks like a Robert Bateman. I have added my abstract image of a colourful eagle on the right-hand side. It was in mixed media of coloured ink wells with traditional pens and also coloured pens. I combined both of my elements in the computer.

The eagle is a symbol of freedom and indpendence for many nations including the USA, Russia and Poland, among others.

As a note, I uploaded this image many years ago but accidentally deleted it.

This is a photograph I took of a Golden Eagle in flight overhead. It was hard to be steady enough to take the photograph.

This is a photograph of an Bald Eagle perched on a tree at night time. I manipulated it so that it had a red background. It is a nice silhouette.

Here is a photograph that I have taken of a Bald Eagle on top of a tree. I have included an abstract drawing of a bald eagle’s head. Together they form a new image.

Solo Bald Eagle

This is one of the best photos I have of a solo Bald Eagle.  The background was just perfect.  I also like the way the plumage is gently flying in the air.  Its beak is perfect for what he needs to do.  The eye is piercing.  Love this photo and the detail.

Did you know that both sexes of bald eagles have the same colouring for plumage?  The difference is that the female is actually a bit larger.  Eagles have excellent eyesight.  “They have two foveae or centers of focus, that allow the birds to see both forward and to the side at the same time.”
