Big Book of Angel Tarot
Book: “The Big Book of Angel Tarot: The Essential Guide to Symbols, Spreads and Accurate Readings” by Doreen Virtue and Radleigh Valentine
Book Review by Mary Mikawoz
This book is compendium of information that goes along with the Angel Tarot Card Deck. The beginning of the book, reviews the history of tarot and how this deck compares to the traditional Rider-Waite deck. These cards are positive in nature while still dealing with events in a person’s life that may be perceived as negative or difficult to deal with. For this reason, the cards do not have a reverse meaning. If the cards are upside down, you simply put them the right direction and read the reading based on what has been written symbolically, according to the picture itself and based on both angel numbers and astrology.
The Major Arcana is now the Dreamer’s Journey. You follow him/her as they progress through life until you reach the World along with Archangel Michael. Each Major Arcana card has an Archangel attached to it which gives you further information as to how the card works in the spread or reading.
The Minor Arcana has pip cards which are the numbered cards and the court cards which include the Page, the Knight, The Queen and the King. The Ace starts off each suit. The suits have been changed to Fire, Water, Air and Earth.
The Fire has dragons and wands in it, Water has cups in it plus merpeople, Air has unicorns in it (swords in previous tarot decks) and Earth has fairies and gold coins in it.
I studied this book by having physically organized my cards according to the Major Arcana and Minor Arcana in the order they are presented in the book. Then it took time, however, I studied the card, then read the reading, reflected on the card some more and paused to think about it all. Then, I proceeded to the next card. In time, the whole deck and book were finished.
My head is now full of imagery, stories and symbolism. It is an appropriate book to have as a reference guide to go along with the Angel Tarot Cards. The little guide book that comes with the deck are good for basic information and then this big book gives you far more detail. This deck obviously took into consideration a lot of factors.
I was not financially compensated for this post. I received the book from Hay House for review purposes. The opinions are completely my own based on my experience.

Book Review
Book: “Angels of Abundance” by Doreen and Grant Virtue
Book Review by Mary Mikawoz
The bad part of this story is that I have misplaced the “Angels of Abundance” book. The good part of this story is that this will be a review based on what I remember. I finished the book a week ago. It was a good short read.
I found the book to be a good basic book for beginners. It talks about the various Archangels that are able to help you. It also speaks of the book “The Secret” by Rhonda Byrne. What it does is to point out that the message of “The Secret” was not complete. It is one thing to have positive thoughts, however you also need to pair this with action of a similar path. A person can dream all they want of possessions and what not but that is not the single way to get it or them. Action is required as well.
Well, I realized I did need the book as a reference so I searched around and I found the book. The subtitle says a lot about the book – “Heaven’s 11 Messages to Help You Manifest, Support, Supply and Every Form of Abundance.” Of primary point is that you need to ask for help. It is written that if you do not ask, you can not receive. You have been given free will and with that comes the responsibility for you to ask for help. It is heard and will be given. Of second importance, is that “The How is Up to God.” This means that in his time and space, the item or experience will be given when it is for the better or best of all people concerned. Each chapter comes along with more information for the abundance.
I think one of the most important chapters had to do with “High Energy = Faster Manifestation.” It covers food, exercise, stress and keeping motivated. By keeping your energy high, the abundance will appear more quickly. These are ideas reinforced by Abraham who is channelled by Esther Hicks. You have to be in the flow and not resisting in order to achieve those things that you wish to receive.
The book overall is, like I said, a basic book. Many of the concepts, I have read before but it is nice to see the whole thing presented here. It is the energy work that you need to focus on.

Book Review
Book: “Angel Detox” by Doreen Virtue and Robert Reeves N.D.
Book Review by Mary Mikawoz
To begin with the front cover illustration of the angel is beautiful. However, I had a different perspective when I started to read this book. I was not exactly sure what I would find in this book called “Angel Detox.” Some of the advice is good but I have read similar information in other books like the books by Kevin Trudeau. There is a detox for 7 days for items such as detoxing from sugar, soda drinks, caffeine, alcohol, drugs, smoking and so forth.
There is quite an extensive discussion about chemicals in many of the products we use regarding Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO). You are given advice as to what to buy and what not to buy because of the changes made to the products such antibiotics, pesticides and other contaminants which are for the benefit of the big company but not the health of the population.
I enjoyed reading about Emotional Detox. I liked what was said in terms in dealing with negativity. I also found it interesting that the authors depend upon a lot from prayer and particularly in God, the Archangels and the Angels. To me, I question whether one is hearing from Archangels or just from your Higher Self with advice on how to live a better life. I suppose it could be a matter of perspective and philosophy on this issue.
The book also discusses flower therapy, essential oils, and crystals in many of the chapters. I wonder how this information came out that a certain Archangel is attached with a certain type of flower. Who knows this information? How is it validated? There is quite a bit of information on flower therapy, essential oils and crystals as it relates to detoxing.
This books tries to address many subject matters. Some of the main information is repeated a number of times but I guess the authors are trying to make sure we get the point.
I would recommend this book for people who do want to detox their lives.

Blue Waves of Healing
This is the colour associated with healing. More than that, The Sun Ray Organization says that “The Blue Ray is the first Ray of light. The energy of this Flame is the first and final synthesis, the source of all the other energies. The Blue Flame is in the core of the very strength and energy. The first Ray is represented in the power of intent, cause, direction, centralization and unity, and its keynote is will – Divine Will. The basic qualities of the Blue Flame are manifested through the energies of power, strength, faith and protection.”

Blue Flames Of Healing
This represents the “Blue Flame of Healing” that many spiritual healers use to heal people like the phenom, Canadian-born, Adam, the Dream Healer. To some, this blue flame of healing is known as the blue ray of light which is the first ray of light and is associated with Archangel Michael. According to Free Choice granted by God, when faced with any difficulties in life, neither Angel nor Archangel will help you unless you ask for help. So, this acrylic painting is the first of two phases representing the blue flame of healing. The second represents the flame in action and transforming.
