There’s Three – Photography by Mary Mikawoz

When I took this photograph and even after it was created, all I could focus were on the painted horses. I am surprised because there are actually three horses in the picture.

It might be combination of mom, dad and offspring or even perhaps siblings. Then, there is the little brown horse in behind who is almost camouflaged.

Sometimes in situations, there is much more to see and observe. It is not simply what sparkles and brings attention to your face. It is also that which should not be forgotten or misplaced in importance. 

I don’t know if the third horse is part of the family but he/she is just as important and belongs as part of the community and should be appreciated for the presence and creativity that he/she brings to the overall scheme of things…to life. Everyone is important! Remember that about yourself today!

With my art, I am often in a zen-type of mood and with my photography, I feel as if I am inspired by God or the Universe to capture these moments in time.
