I AM Female

Mikawoz I AM Female

I AM Female

As a survivor of child sexual abuse and sexual harassment as an adult, I am releasing and forgiving those who hurt me in inappropriate ways. I am part of the “Me Too” movement and did not have the guts to say anything a few years ago when most people were coming out about what happened to them.

I love and accept my body exactly as I am even though people have hurt me in ways that should not be forgivable but now are.

The physical body is beautiful and is a sanctuary for our spiritual soul. I have survived despite what has happened to me. I love who I am and who I have become. I celebrate who I am – as a soul having a physical experience on this Earth.

Sails in Gold Light

Sails in Gold Light

Off in the distance, you can see sailboats as the sun sets in the sky. I took this photograph while on a boat in the Pacific Ocean off of Waikiki Beach in Honolulu, Hawaii.

Na Na Na Na Na

Na Na Na Na Na

This tiger seems to be playing a children’s game of “Come and Get Me” with sticking out his tongue and saying “Na Na Na Na Na.” He is a gorgeous cat.

Thorns

Thorns

This was part of the same hike through the deserts around Mesa, Arizona. I have made the photograph into a black and white one because I like the way the thorns are more so emphasized. I also like the way the leaves of the cacti look like paddles. I believe these are called Prickly Pear Cacti.

Spikes

Spikes

I took this photograph while hiking in and around Mesa, Arizona. The cactus is full of spikes and prickly thorns. Although it is full of spikes, there is beauty in this nature too.

According to Wikipedia, “In plant morphology, thorns, spines, and prickles, and in general spinose structures, are hard, rigid extensions or modifications of leaves, roots, stems or buds with sharp, stiff ends, and generally serve the same function: physically deterring animals from eating the plant material.”

Two Brown Cows

These are two beautiful brown cows in the pasture. I took this photo in the Interlake Area of Manitoba where there is very good land for agriculture around Teulon, Arborg and Riverton.

Fishing Boat

Fishing Boat

This is a fishing boat in the Vancouver Harbour in British Columbia near the Lion’s Gate Bridge in Stanley Park. It is being followed by a flock of birds because of all the fish they are catching.

I have put some nice blue effects on the image to make it more interesting than the gray scale image that it originally was.

Bambi

Bambi

I have decided to call this little, light-haired deer that I photographed as Bambi. He is adorable. I love his big eyes and huge fluffy ears and face. This was taken between Banff and Jasper in Alberta on the Icefield Parkways Highway 93.

Did you know that according to Wikipedia, “Bambi is a 1942 American animated film directed by David Hand (supervising a team of sequence directors), produced by Walt Disney and based on the 1923 book Bambi, a Life in the Woods by Austrian author Felix Salten.”

Red River View

Red River View

This is an aerial photograph of the Red River Valley system. It is a view that shows how the river snakes its way through the prairies. At this time of year, we have to concern ourselves with the flooding of the plains. “According to the province’s latest flood report, the Red River at James Avenue is expected to crest at 19 to 19.3 feet between April 21 and 23, 2020.”

Yellow Green And Red

This is a cactus that is blossoming with colour. It is pristine as is all of nature.

It hosts a variety of colours including yellow, green and red.

It was taken at the Bloedel Conservatory in Queen Elizabeth Park in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
